Loughanillaun or Loch an Oileáin, Irish Name (Translation lake of the island) in the parish of Ballynakill in the barony of Ballynahinch. It has a gravelly bottom and is about 10 feet deep. It receives a river at its east end which it discharges into Cleggan Bay. It has trout and salmon in great plenty. The Lough which is nearly circular, but of an irregular form is about 1/8 mile in diameter.

I spent a several hours taking various shots and some long exposures. It was ridiculously remote and eeriely silent.
